 With Dr. Kathy Takayama (the founding Executive Director for Professional Development and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) in Japan)

 In this interactive workshop, participants will:

 \* Learn about the multiple entry points for scientists in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL)

 \* Gain an appreciation for what SoTL is/is not to ultimately enhance teaching and learning in our disciplines

 \* Explore how SoTL helps us unpack our disciplinary “signature pedagogies”, and ultimately deepen our understanding of teaching and learning through interdisciplinary inquiry
