Our studies focus on molecular mechanisms of inflammation and immune signaling in the intestine, liver and brain in animal models and in patients with chronic liver diseases. Our recent interest is in the role of extracellular vesicles and microRNAs in cell-to cell and inter-organ communication and in biomarker discovery.
